Webinar “The impact of Brexit on the food industry” 1st October 2020

What should you consider as a food company when you trade with the UK from 1st January 2021? The outcome of the negotiations between the EU and the UK is not yet certain, but from 1st January 2021, companies will have to take into account customs formalities and food safety checks.
FIT is organizing a webinar in collaboration with Fevia Vlaanderen, Customs and the FAVV with a focus on the food industry in which the following topics and speakers are discussed:

  • State of affairs and advocacy of the Flemish food industry, Tine Vandervelden,
  • Fevia Flanders Most important changes for Flemish companies, Hans De Backer,
  • FIT Customs formalities for the import and export of food, Jeroen Sarrazyn,
  • General Administration of Customs and Excise Food safety controls, Jan Van Seghbroeck, Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain
  • Q&A

The session will take place on Thursday, 1st October from 10am to 11am. Following registration you will receive a link to the event. Do you have specific questions about the theme?
