This month’s First Tuesday Drinks is in collaboration with Brussels Airlines.

Brussels Airlines is the flag carrier and largest airline of Belgium based and headquartered at Brussels Airport. In partnership with Brussels Airport, Brussels Airlines operates to over 90 destinations in Europe, North America and Africa. The airline is a member of the Star Alliance as well as the International Air Transport Association and the Association of European Airlines.

This is a traditional BLCC networking event where you can meet fellow members of the Chamber, the Club and the Anglo-Belgian Society in a relaxed atmosphere.  

As well as being joined by Brussels Airlines, we are delighted to welcome special guest Saint Nicholas.

Saint Nicholas/ Sinterklaas

Saint Nicholas is a Low Countries tradition based on the legend of St Nicholas, who protected children from poverty and danger. On the eve of Sinterklaas, the Saint and his helpers visit homes and deliver gifts for children.

Belgian and Dutch children traditionally leave a shoe in front of the fireplace on the day Sinterklaas arrives, sometimes with a carrot as a treat for his horse. The next morning, the carrot is gone, and the children may find sweets or a small present in their shoes.
