Alison Rose, British Ambassador to Belgium, Joachim Coens, CEO of the Port of Zeebrugge and the UK Cross-Government Border Delivery Group would like to invite you to the second Belgian Ports and Industry Day on Thursday 14 March 2019, at the Artes-Bruges-Cruise (ABC) Tower in Zeebrugge.

This event aims to build upon our previous Industry Day on the UK’s Exit from the EU and will bring UK government officials together to an audience of EU industry representatives from maritime, rail and vehicle modes of transport, including Roll-on Roll-off supply chains, which use the crossings into UK ports from the Belgian ports of Zeebrugge, Antwerp and Ghent.

The focus of the day will be:

• to share latest assumptions and expected changes to processes and procedures that may apply after the UK leaves the EU
• to focus on areas including customs procedures, import and export of food, live animals, animal products and feed, plants and fish and the impact on the transport infrastructure beyond the border points
• to enable industry representatives to share concerns, raise questions and provide feedback in a live interactive environment
• to address Day 1 no deal scenarios to assist in future readiness planning
