THE (UN)USUAL SUSPECTS : Panel Discussion and Cocktail Reception at the Belgium Residence

June 3 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

In the context of the London International Disputes Week you are invited to a panel discussion and cocktail reception, jointly organised by CEPANI (the Belgian Centre for Arbitration and Mediation), AFA (French Association for Arbitration), VIAC (Vienna International Arbitral Centre) and NAI (Netherlands Arbitration Institute).

The key question debated over this evening session will be whether arbitral institutions should focus on welfare or order? Topics that will be addressed include amongst others the extent to which an arbitral institution should be proactive in finding amicable solutions to a conflict, whether institutions should provide rules of good conduct and ethical charts for arbitrators, and whether they need to ensure the latter are complied with.
