Mastering Incoterms 2020: Risk, Cost & Control in Global Trade

The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Belgium invites professionals involved in international trade to a practical training session on Incoterms® 2020, the globally recognised rules that define the responsibilities of buyers and sellers in cross-border transactions.
Incoterms clarify who arranges transport, who bears risk, and who is responsible for costs at each stage of a shipment. A clear understanding of these rules is essential for avoiding disputes, unexpected costs and contractual uncertainty in global trade.
This in-depth training will explore how to apply Incoterms® 2020 effectively in international contracts, including their impact on transport arrangements, risk transfer, cost allocation and trade documentation. The session will also address current challenges in international trade and discuss areas that may evolve in a future revision of the rules.
The programme will include expert guidance, practical examples and interactive case studies, allowing participants to work through real-world trade scenarios in small groups.
