CUBS Black Tie Dinner

The Cambridge University Belgian Society (CUBS) Annual Black Tie Dinner will take place on Monday, 16 February 2026, at Queens’ College, Cambridge, in the Old Hall.

The event brings together Belgian students, alumni, academics and professionals, as well as guests from the universities of Cambridge, Oxford and London, and from diplomatic and professional circles in London.

  • 13.00 – 15.00: Tour of Cambridge and some of its Colleges
  • 15.00 – 17.30: Time to get changed into Black Tie attire
  • 17.30 – 18.30: Speaker event: “Erasmus, Cambridge and Europe”, by Prof. Richard Rex
  • 18.45 – 19.30: Drinks reception with Belgian beers in the Old Kitchens of Queens’ College
  • 19.30 – 22.00: 4-course dinner in the Old Hall of Queens’ College
  • 22.00 – 01:00: Afterparty at Bar-OH (20 Downing Street, Cambridge, CB2 3DT)

Queen’s College was founded in 1448 and was home to Desiderius Erasmus from 1511 to 1514. This year’s dinner references his legacy and the historical connection between Cambridge and Belgium.

Dress code: Black Tie preferred
Location: Queens’ College, Old Hall, Cambridge
