SOFICO Announces New Leadership to Drive Global Growth
BLCC member SOFICO, Ghent-based leader in software solutions for automotive finance, leasing, fleet, and mobility management, has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Wim De Bruyne as Chief Executive Officer and Clive Brett as Chief Technology Officer.
This transition, effective 1 September 2025, marks an important milestone in SOFICO’s long-term succession plan, designed to support the company’s next phase of international expansion.
After decades at the helm, CEO Gémar Hompes and CTO/co-founder Piet Maes are stepping back from their operational roles. Both will remain significant investors and active members of the Board of Directors, continuing to provide strategic guidance. The appointments of Wim and Clive build on a carefully structured succession plan initiated four years ago, which also saw the strengthening of SOFICO’s executive team with the addition of Michael Deroost (CCO, 2022) and Steffen Tallieu (CPO, 2023). Together, this leadership group is well-positioned to scale SOFICO’s software solutions, deepen customer relationships, and accelerate innovation worldwide.
Speaking on the transition, Gémar Hompes said:
