A New Chapter for a Longstanding BLCC Member
We’re pleased to share major news from one of our valued Patron members: Birkett Long has officially joined the UK-wide professional services group Knights in an acquisition valued at £16.6 million. This marks a significant milestone for the Essex-based firm, which has earned a strong reputation for both legal and financial advisory services across the South East.
The BLCC has enjoyed a close and longstanding relationship with Birkett Long over many years. As a Patron member and consistent sponsor of the Golden Bridge Awards, the firm has been a dedicated and visible supporter of our mission to promote cross-border success. Their values have always aligned with those of the Chamber, and they have played an active role within our community.
Many of our members have worked with Birkett Long through the Chamber, benefitting from their expertise and proactive approach. We’re pleased to confirm that these relationships will continue as the firm transitions under the Knights banner.
The acquisition brings 90 lawyers and 10 financial advisers into the Knights Group, expanding its national footprint and introducing a rare combined legal and wealth advisory offering under one roof. For Birkett Long clients, including many within the BLCC network, this means broader access to specialist support while maintaining the trusted service they know.
