With the 25th Golden Bridge Awards, the Eurostart Venture Awards and moving into our new permanent home, this has been one of the busiest years in the Chamber’s history. Now that members are back at work after a very warm summer, we are excited to announce what has been going on behind the scenes and to officially open opening the Work Lounge.
Work Lounge Progress
Over the summer, we have been dedicated to turning our new space into the professional home the Belgian-Luxembourg business community deserves.
The most exciting addition this past month is our new working pods, supplied by Belgian company JUUNOO. These one- and two-person pods give members total privacy for calls and meetings, and it is great to have Belgian businesses helping shape the Work Lounge into a more practical, flexible and comfortable space for our community. Booking is easy through our newly updated Skedda platform. All members already have an account, so simply reset your password using your registered email address to get started: https://blcc.skedda.com/. Club Members will use Skedda to book a dedicated desk space ahead of their visit, and all members will be able to reserve the pods and meeting room.
We have also installed a coffee machine, so members can choose anything from a flat white to a hot chocolate or a simple espresso, alongside a good selection of caffeinated and decaffeinated teas, already proving popular with members.
The most advanced feature we have introduced is Palmki. This is our new palm-print access system. Club Members can access the Work Lounge by simply hovering their palm over the reader. So if you have forgotten your bag or keys, you can still access the space securely with just your hand.
Work Lounge Opening
With just a few final elements and furniture yet to be installed in the coming weeks, we are pleased to share that the Work Lounge is now ready to welcome our members. All Club Members will receive more information on how to onboard very soon. In the meantime, the team is more than happy to answer any queries about using the space.
To celebrate and showcase the new space, we will be hosting an open-door event on December 1st and 2nd. This is your chance to see the space, celebrate its opening with fellow members, and to meet the whole team. On the 2nd, we will also be hosting our festive First Tuesday Drinks in the Work Lounge, which may feature a special festive guest. We’ll share more information soon, so keep an eye on your inbox.
