Visitors are invited to step inside the atelier and discover the meticulous process behind bespoke spectacle making\, from initial design to final finishing. \nThrough live demonstrations at the bench\, guests will be able to observe each stage of the process and gain a deeper understanding of the precision\, materials\, and expertise involved. \nMasterclass Experience\nA dedicated masterclass on 14 May 2026 will offer a more in-depth and interactive experience. SUMMARY:Kindling of the Torch
DESCRIPTION:The Kindling of the Torch is a short ceremony held each year in Westminster Abbey at the beginning of November to commemorate the re-lightning of the permanent flame at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the end of World War II after it had been extinguished by the German occupier. From Westminster Abbey the Torch is transported to Brussels in a pilgrimage along the many war cemeteries\, in time for the 11 November ceremony at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier. \nThis event is not organised by the BLCC\, but members may join the Ceremony. \nDue to logistical reasons\, the number of guests is limited. Registration opens in September 2025.
