LinkLounge Event: Belgian Summer BBQ

On Monday, the 16th June, we hosted our annual Belgian Summer BBQ, part of our LinkLounge networking event series, and what a spectacular afternoon it turned out to be. The event gifted us perfect weather, perfect company, and a perfect BBQ!

This year’s event took place at the Belgian headquarters of Ovinto in Aalter, whose generous hospitality provided the perfect setting for a relaxed and memorable gathering. Guests enjoyed the delicious grilled BBQ meats. To accompany this, refreshing Belgian beers had been kindly provided by Trappist Westmalle. The atmosphere was lively and relaxed, with attendees engaging in high-quality conversations, making new connections, and strengthening existing ones. This event offered a fantastic platform for finding new meaningful networking and building our existing community links.

We were honoured to welcome Thomas Moens, Vice President Northern & Western Europe at FIT, as our special guest. This added an extra dimension to the afternoon with his insights and presence.

The event was free to attend for all of our valued members. This reaffirms our commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for our community to connect, collaborate and celebrate our shared values. The mix of long-time members to first-time attendees made this gathering one to remember. Events like these are just one of the many ways we continue to support our network, not only by facilitating introductions and collaborations, but also by fostering a strong, engaged and supportive community of professionals who believe in the power of partnership.

A heartfelt thank you to Ovinto, led by its inspirational founder, Frederick Ronse, for hosting us in their incredible space and for continuing to lead the way in innovative tracking and monitoring solutions. We also extend our gratitude to Westmalle Trappist for supplying the exceptional beverages that helped cool us down in the heat.

Whether you joined us on the day or followed along online, we look forward to welcoming you to our next LinkLounge event.
