How the winner is selected

In selecting the winner, the jury made up of the Ambassadors, the regional economic attachés and the sponsors will consider primarily, initiatives that show vision in new niche markets, daring innovation to embark on new opportunities and perseverance in the conquest of the British market.
Applications can be sent in until 15 September 2011.

Conditions

The Golden Bridge Export Award will be won by the most successful Belgian or Luxembourg company exporting to the UK:

1. All Belgian and Luxembourg companies in only the manufacturing and service sectors can apply.
2. Companies must have been actively exporting to the UK for a minimum of 3 years.
3. The Head Office must be registered on the Belgian or Luxembourg Trade Register.
4. Subsidiary companies can also apply but documentation must be submitted by the Head Office.
5. The products or services must have their origins in Belgium or Luxembourg.
6. Winners of the 2010 Golden Bridge Award can only reapply in the year 2014.

Previous winners include Alpro (2001), Ecover (2002), Cityjet (2003), Option (2005), EVS Broadcasting (2006), DEME (2007), Modular Lighting Instruments (2008), Vyncke Energietechniek (2009) and Eurodiesel (2010).

Goal

The ‘Golden Bridge Award’ is an annual award that is won by the most successful Belgian or Luxembourg company exporting to the United Kingdom, in both the service and manufacturing sector.

The award was created by the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain in 1997 to acknowledge exporting efforts from Belgium and Luxembourg to the UK. It recognises and celebrates the success of Belgian and Luxembourg business in the UK and the vital importance of enterprise and export to our economy. Whether large or small, every finalist has achieved outstanding success in exporting to the UK. They are the standard bearers for the very best of Belgian and Luxembourg exports.

Former winners and finalists have confirmed that the award has enhanced their image in both the home and UK market and is an incentive for their staff. It is particularly encouraging that so many companies, having won the Golden Bridge Export Award and experienced the benefits, decide to sponsor or support the awards year after year.

Winning companies can proudly display the Golden Bridge logo in their UK and overseas communications and marketing material to show that they have earned the prestigious accolade of the Golden Bridge Export Awards.

Venue

The Golden Bridge Export Award 2011 will be held in Central London on Wednesday 16 November 2011 at Quaglinos.

Price and tickets

Participanting as a company in the competition is free of charge.
If your company is selected as a finalist, all we expect is that you book a minimum of 10 tickets for the Gala Dinner and Award Ceremony with a total value of £950+VAT.
Members and participants: £95+VAT
Non-Members: £115+VAT
